2. Portuguese chourico sausage, diced - 1 (16 ounce) package
3. Potatoes, diced - 2
4. Cabbage, coarsely chopped - ½ head
5. Carrots, diced - 3
6. Onion, chopped - 1 small
7. Celery, diced - 1 stalk
8. Mixed vegetables, drained - 1 (15 ounce) can
9. Chopped fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons
10. Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
11. Celery salt - ½ teaspoon
12. Ground red pepper - ½ teaspoon
13. Cornstarch (Optional) - 2 tablespoons
14. Water (Optional) - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Chourico Stew

1. Stage

Place the water, chourico, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onion, celery, canned vegetables, parsley, garlic powder, celery salt, and red pepper in a large pot. Bring to a simmer over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and continue to simmer the soup until the vegetables are tender, about 40 minutes. If soup is too thin, stir in cornstarch dissolved in water to thicken.
