1. 2 cups water -
2. 3/4 cup sugar -
3. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon -
4. 1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice, chilled -
5. 4 cups cranberry-apple juice, chilled -
6. 1 liter ginger ale, chilled -
7. Optional: Fresh or frozen cranberries, sliced apples, orange wedges, fresh mint leaves and cinnamon sticks -

How to cook deliciously - Christmas Punch

1. Stage

In a large saucepan, bring the water, sugar and cinnamon to a boil; stir until the sugar dissolves. Chill the simple syrup until you're ready to serve the punch.

2. Stage

Just before serving, combine the chilled simple syrup, juices and ginger ale in a punch bowl or large pitcher. If you’d like, garnish the punch with cinnamon sticks, whole cranberries, sliced apples, orange wedges and fresh mint. Editor’s Tip: Use chilled ingredients to help keep the punch cold, and don’t stir the punch too much after you add the ginger ale to preserve the carbonation.
