How to cook deliciously - Apple Caramel Cheesecake Bars

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Mix the flour and brown sugar in a small bowl and cut in the butter until the mixture has a crumbly texture. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan and press the crust mixture down, covering the entire bottom of the pan. Bake the crust for 15 to 18 minutes or until it becomes light brown.

2. Stage

In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add the eggs and beat the filling with a beater set on low speed until combined. Spread the filling on the crust.

3. Stage

In another small bowl, toss the apples to coat them with the cinnamon, nutmeg and the rest of the sugar. Spoon this all over the top of the cream cheese filling. Combine the flour, brown sugar and oats in another small bowl and cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle this topping over the apple layer.

4. Stage

Bake the cheesecake for 25 to 30 minutes until the filling is set. Drizzle the caramel topping over the streusel top, and let everything cool in the pan on a wire rack for one hour. Refrigerate the cooled cheesecake for at least two hours. Cut it into individual bars.
