1. 6 large onions, sliced -
2. 1 cup butter -
3. 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour -
4. 2 teaspoons salt -
5. 1/2 teaspoon white pepper -
6. 2 cups milk -

How to cook deliciously - Creamed Onions

1. Stage

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, saute the onions in butter until tender and golden brown, about 25 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.

2. Stage

Toss in the flour, salt and pepper into the skillet and stir. Next, gradually stir in the milk until blended.

3. Stage

Bring the milk, flour and seasoning to a boil. Stirring continuously, cook for 2 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Reduce the heat to medium and return the onions to the pan. Heat through and serve.
