1. Fresh green beans, trimmed - 2 pounds
2. Balsamic Vinegar - ½ cup
3. Extra-virgin olive oil - ⅓ cup
4. Sweet onion, thinly sliced - 1 small
5. Garlic, minced - 1 clove
6. Chopped fresh parsley - 2 teaspoons
7. White sugar - 1 teaspoon
8. Salt - 1 teaspoon
9. Freshly ground black pepper to taste - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Easy Green Bean Salad

1. Stage

Bring a large pot with lightly salted water to a boil over high heat. Add green beans and cook, uncovered, until soft but still firm to the bite, 7 to 10 minutes. Check often so beans don't overcook.

Combine vinegar, olive oil, onion, garlic, parsley, sugar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.

Drain cooked green beans and mix with dressing while still warm. Allow to marinate at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
