How to cook deliciously - French Toast Fries
1. Stage
Slice bread into thick “fries” about 1” wide. (If bread is very soft, dry the fries out in a 350° for 10 minutes.)
2. Stage
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
3. Stage
Working one at a time, quickly toss fries in egg mixture until just coated then immediately add to skillet. Cook until golden on all sides, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer cooked fries to a paper towel lined plate and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
