1. 1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar -
2. 3/4 cup butter, cubed -
3. 2 tablespoons water -
4. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips -
5. 2 large eggs, room temperature -
6. 3 cups all-purpose flour -
7. 1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda -
8. 1 teaspoon salt -
9. Filling: -
10. 1/3 cup butter, softened -
11. 3 cups confectioners' sugar -
12. 3 to 4 tablespoons 2% milk -
13. 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract -
14. Dash salt -

How to cook deliciously - Chocolate-Mint Creme Cookies

1. Stage

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Transfer to a large bowl; cool slightly.

Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to chocolate mixture and mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° until set, 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks; flatten slightly. Cool completely.

4. Stage

Combine filling ingredients; spread on the bottoms of half of the cookies. Top with remaining cookies. Store in the refrigerator.
