How to cook deliciously - Giant Donut
1. Stage
In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.

In a stand mixer, beat eggs and sugar until pale in color, about 5 minutes. Beat in butter and vanilla. On low speed, gradually add buttermilk and flour, and stir until totally combined. (The dough will be extremely soft.) Let dough rest in fridge until firm, about 30 minutes.

Line the bottom of a large baking sheet with parchment paper and dust with flour. Pat dough into ½” thickness on top. Using a 9" cake pan as your stencil, cut out a large circle using a paring knife. Use a 3"-4" biscuit cutter to stamp out the middle. Leave donut on baking sheet and remove excess dough.
4. Stage
In a large roasting pan set over two burners, heat about 3” oil over medium heat until temperature reaches 350°. Carefully slide donut into oil and fry until golden all over, basting the top of the donut the whole time, about 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined baking sheet.
5. Stage
In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir in milk and vanilla until glaze is smooth and pourable. Pour glaze over doughnut then immediately garnish with sprinkles.
