Ingredients for - Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

1. Eggs, beaten - 3 large
2. White sugar - ¾ cup
3. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
4. Salt - ¼ teaspoon
5. Scalded milk - 2 ½ cups
6. Yellow food coloring (Optional) - 3 drops
7. Frozen pie crust, thawed - 1 (9 inch)
8. Egg white, beaten - 1 large
9. Ground nutmeg - ¼ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).

2. Stage

Mix together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl; stir well. Blend in scalded milk. Stir in 3 drops yellow food coloring for more color.

3. Stage

Brush the bottom and sides of pie crust with beaten egg white to help prevent a soggy crust. Pour custard mixture into pie crust. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

4. Stage
