1. 3 tablespoons butter -
2. 1 small onion, finely chopped -
3. 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped -
4. 2 medium potatoes, peeled -
5. 1 cup finely diced cooked ham -
6. 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste -
7. 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper -
8. 1/4 teaspoon dried crumbled thyme -

How to cook deliciously - Ham and Potato Hash

1. Stage

Partially cook the potatoes, then dice: Cut the potatoes in half and cook in a saucepan of simmering water until not quite done and still firm, about 10 minutes. Rinse in cold water to stop cooking. Drain. Dice to 1/2-inch thick pieces. Set aside.

2. Stage

Cook the onion and bell pepper in butter: Melt butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-low to medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Add the chopped bell pepper and cook another 2 minutes.
