3. Garlic, minced, or more to taste - 2 cloves
4. Lean ground beef - 2 pounds
5. Kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 2 (16 ounce) cans
6. Diced tomatoes - 1 (28 ounce) can
7. Tomato puree - 1 (15 ounce) can
8. Water - 1 cup
9. Chopped green chile peppers - 1 (4 ounce) can
10. Mild chili powder - 2 tablespoons
11. Salt - 2 teaspoons
12. Ground cumin - 2 teaspoons
13. Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
