1. Packed brown sugar - 3 cups
2. White sugar - 1 ½ cups
3. Unsalted butter, melted - 12 tablespoons
4. Applesauce - 1 (15 ounce) can
5. Eggs - 3 large
6. Old-fashioned rolled oats - 4 ½ cups
7. All-purpose flour - 3 ¾ cups
8. Baking soda - 1 ½ teaspoons
9. Baking powder - ¾ teaspoon
10. Coarse salt - ¾ teaspoon
11. Dried plums, cut into small pieces - 1 pound
12. Chopped fresh basil, or to taste (Optional) - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Oatmeal Cookies with Dried Plums

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Stage

Place sugars and butter in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined. Add applesauce and eggs; mix well until blended, 2 to 3 minutes. Mix in oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Fold in plums and basil.

Drop dough onto the baking sheets using a tablespoon-sized cookie scoop, spacing cookies 2 inches apart.
