1. Cube steak - 1 pound
2. Salt and pepper to taste - 1 pound
3. All-purpose flour, or as needed - ¼ cup
4. Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
5. Onion, sliced - 1 medium
6. Green bell pepper, sliced - 1 medium
7. Garlic, minced - 1 clove

How to cook deliciously - Oven-Baked Pepper Steak

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Season steak with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour; shake off any excess.

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear steaks in hot oil, then transfer to a large casserole dish. Sprinkle onion, pepper, and garlic over top; pour 2 cups water into the dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven until steak is tender and vegetables are soft, about 1 1/2 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the steak should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.
