How to cook deliciously - Walnut Bar
1. Stage
Pour hot water over figs and leave them for about 15 minutes.

Sift the flour, add the baking soda and vanilla sugar.

In another bowl, mash with a fork (or use a mixer) the margarine and sugar (you can use less than a cup of sugar, since figs are already very sweet). Add 1 egg + 1 egg yolk. Beat with a mixer until smooth.

Add the flour and knead the dough. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out one part lightly and place it on a baking tray (cover the tray with baking paper).

In the second half of the dough, add the finely chopped figs and chopped walnuts (about 1 cup). The remaining walnuts will be used for decoration, better if they are walnut halves. Put the dough with the walnuts and figs on top of the dough, which is already on the tray. And then stick the walnut halves evenly into the dough.
6. Stage
We put it in an oven heated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Then take it out and, when it cools, cut it into pieces.
