1. 2 c. milk -
2. 4 tbsp. butter -
3. 1/3 c. all-purpose flour  -
4. Kosher salt  -
5. Ground white pepper  -

How to cook deliciously - Bechamel Sauce

1. Stage

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm milk. It doesn’t need to come to a full simmer, but should be warmed through. 

2. Stage

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Once butter is fully melted, sprinkle flour over top and whisk until smooth. Let it cook until slightly darkened and smells nutty, 1 minute. While whisking, very slowly pour milk into pan and continue whisking until fully incorporated. Continue cooking, while whisking vigorously until mixture is smooth and thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper.
