1. Breakfast sausage - 1 pound
2. Melted margarine, or as needed - ¾ cup
3. Chopped celery - 1 ½ cups
4. Finely diced onion - ¾ cup
5. Soft bread cubes, divided - 8 cups
6. Poultry seasoning - 1 tablespoon
7. Ground black pepper - ¼ teaspoon
