1. 1 stick butter, softened -
2. 1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley -
3. 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, for skillet -
4. 1 26- to 28-oz. bone-in rib eye or côte de boeuf -
5. Kosher salt -
6. Freshly ground black pepper -

How to cook deliciously - Boyfriend Steak

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350º. Make herb butter: Mix butter and parsley and shape into a log (use wax paper, if you have it). Refrigerate until firm.

2. Stage

Make steak: Heat an ovenproof skillet over high heat and add olive oil. Season steak generously with salt and pepper.

3. Stage

Sear steak 3 minutes per side, then transfer skillet to oven to continue cooking, about 10 minutes for medium-rare.

4. Stage

Transfer steak to a plate and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Top with herb butter to serve.
