1. Chicken broth - 6 (14.5 ounce) cans
2. Celery, chopped - 4 stalks
3. Carrots, chopped - 6
4. Onion, chopped - 1
5. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
6. Cabbage, shredded - 1 medium head
7. Barley - ½ cup
8. Diced ham - 2 cups
9. Dried parsley - 1 tablespoon

1. Stage

Place the chicken broth, celery, carrots, onion, garlic, cabbage, barley, ham and parsley in a large pot over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
