1. Tomatoes, diced - 2 medium
2. Ball fresh mozzarella, cut into 1-inch cubes - 1 (4 ounce)
3. Coarsely chopped fresh basil - ¼ cup
4. Garlic, minced, divided - 2 cloves
5. Olive oil, divided - 41 tablespoons
6. Flank steak - 1 pound
7. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 pound
8. Butter lettuce mix - 1 (6.5 ounce) bag
9. Balsamic vinegar, or to taste - 2 tablespoons

1. Stage

Mix tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, 1 clove minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a bowl; toss to coat. Cover bowl and refrigerate.

Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.

Place steak in a large resealable bag; add 1 clove minced garlic, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper. Seal the bag and distribute the oil mixture over the steak.
