1. Vegetable oil, or as needed 1 tablespoon
2. Onions, finely chopped 4 medium
3. Habanero chile, seeded and minced 1
4. Garlic, chopped 6 cloves
5. Cabbage, chopped ½ head
6. Chickpeas, rinsed and drained 1 (29 ounce) can
7. Carrots, chopped ¼ pound
8. Pitted green olives 1 cup
9. Red wine vinegar ¼ cup
10. Lemons, juiced 3 medium
11. Dijon mustard 2 tablespoons
12. All-purpose vegetable seasoning 1 teaspoon
13. Ground black pepper ¾ teaspoon
14. Bay leaves 2 large

How to cook deliciously - Chickpeas with Yassa Sauce

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Saute onions, habanero, and garlic in the hot oil until soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Add cabbage and cook until softened. Stir in chickpeas, carrots, olives, vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon, vegetable seasoning, pepper, and bay leaves.

Reduce heat and let simmer until flavors have melded, 1 hour or more.
