1. Vegetable oil, or as needed - 1 tablespoon
2. Onions, finely chopped - 4 medium
3. Habanero chile, seeded and minced - 1
4. Garlic, chopped - 6 cloves
5. Cabbage, chopped - ½ head
6. Chickpeas, rinsed and drained - 1 (29 ounce) can
7. Carrots, chopped - ¼ pound
8. Pitted green olives - 1 cup
9. Red wine vinegar - ¼ cup
10. Lemons, juiced - 3 medium
11. Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
12. All-purpose vegetable seasoning - 1 teaspoon
13. Ground black pepper - ¾ teaspoon
14. Bay leaves - 2 large

How to cook deliciously - Chickpeas with Yassa Sauce

1. Stage

Heat oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Saute onions, habanero, and garlic in the hot oil until soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Add cabbage and cook until softened. Stir in chickpeas, carrots, olives, vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon, vegetable seasoning, pepper, and bay leaves.

Reduce heat and let simmer until flavors have melded, 1 hour or more.
