3. Chopped onion - ½ cup
4. Butter - 2 tablespoons
5. All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
6. Salt - 1 teaspoon
7. Ground black pepper - 1 pinch
8. Milk - 1 cup
9. Sour cream - ½ cup
10. Fresh lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Combine asparagus, 1/2 cup chicken broth, and onion in a large saucepan; cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
