1. Stage
For the sourdough, mix all the ingredients and leave for 20 minutes. A puffy cap should form. Add the egg, sugar and vanilla to the sourdough and mix with a whisk.

Then add melted butter and sifted flour in batches.

Knead the dough, roll it into a ball and place it in a clean bowl greased with 1 tsp. of vegetable oil. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1.5 hours.

The dough should double in size.

Dust the table with flour and roll out the dough into a large oval. Mix all the ingredients for the filling. Spread the filling over the dough.

And roll up into a tight roll. Pinch the edges.

Cut the roll lengthwise into two parts. Turn the halves upside down.

Bind the halves of the roll together and connect the ends. You get a wreath like this. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment and greased with 1. tsp. of vegetable oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let cool until warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Bon appetit!
