1. 8 croissant, split -
2. 5 large eggs, beaten -
3. 1 cup half-and-half cream -
4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract -
5. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon -
6. Zest of 1 orange -
7. 2 tablespoons maple syrup -
8. Optional Toppings: Confectioners' sugar, assorted fresh fruit or maple syrup -

How to cook deliciously - Croissant French Toast Bake

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray, and set it aside. Split all the croissants in half horizontally.

2. Stage

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half cream, vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest and maple syrup.

3. Stage

Dunk each croissant half in the liquid, submerging until completely soaked. Repeat with all of the croissants, arranging them in the baking dish, overlapping slightly if necessary.

4. Stage

Bake the croissants for 25 to 30 minutes, until the custard mixture is set.
