Ingredients for - Easy Red Beans and Rice

1. Water - 2 cups
2. Uncooked rice - 1 cup
3. Turkey kielbasa, cut diagonally into 1/4 inch slices - 1 (16 ounce) package
4. Onion, chopped - 1
5. Green bell pepper, chopped - 1
6. Chopped garlic - 1 clove
7. Canned kidney beans, drained - 2 (15 ounce) cans
8. Whole peeled tomatoes, chopped - 1 (16 ounce) can
9. Dried oregano - ½ teaspoon
10. Pepper - ½ teaspoon
11. Salt to taste - ½ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Easy Red Beans and Rice

1. Stage

Prepare the rice: Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook sausage in a large skillet over low heat for 5 minutes. Stir in onion, green pepper, and garlic; saute until tender. Add in beans and tomatoes with juice. Season with oregano, pepper, and salt. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
