Ingredients for - French Beef Stew

1. Cubed beef stew meat - 1 ½ pounds
2. All-purpose flour - ¼ cup
3. Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
4. Italian-style diced tomatoes - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
5. Beef broth - 1 (14 ounce) can
6. Carrots, chopped - 4
7. Potatoes, peeled and chopped - 2
8. Dried thyme - ¾ teaspoon
9. Dijon-style prepared mustard - 2 tablespoons
10. Salt and pepper to taste - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - French Beef Stew

1. Stage

Combine beef and flour in a large resealable plastic bag and toss to coat evenly.

2. Stage

In a 6-quart saucepan, brown beef in hot vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

3. Stage

Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, carrots, potatoes, and thyme. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour or until beef is tender. Blend in mustard and serve.
