Ingredients for - Grandma's Aebleskevers

1. Eggs, separated - 2 large
2. All-purpose flour - ¾ cup
3. White sugar - 1 tablespoon
4. Baking powder - ½ teaspoon
5. Salt - 1 pinch
6. Sweetened condensed milk - ¾ cup
7. Shortening - 1 tablespoon
8. Unsalted butter, melted, or as needed - ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Grandma's Aebleskevers

1. Stage

Beat egg whites in a bowl until stiff.

2. Stage

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a second bowl. Mix in egg yolks, condensed milk, and shortening. Fold in egg whites.

3. Stage

Heat an aebleskiver pan over medium heat until hot. Brush each cup with a little melted butter using a pastry brush, then fill each with about 2 tablespoons of batter until almost full. Cook until they begin to bubble; flip over, allowing batter to fill the bottoms of the cups. Continue to cook, turning as needed, until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
