Ingredients for - Honduran Baleadas

1. All-purpose flour 2 cups
2. Water 1 cup
3. Vegetable oil ½ cup
4. Egg 1
5. Salt ½ teaspoon
6. Refried beans, warmed 2 cups
7. Avocado, sliced 1
8. Crumbled queso fresco (fresh white cheese) ½ cup
9. Crema fresca (fresh cream) ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Honduran Baleadas

1 . Stage

Make the tortillas: Mix flour, water, vegetable oil, egg, and salt together in a large bowl. Knead dough until smooth and no longer sticky. Form into eight golf ball-sized balls. Cover and let rest for about 20 minutes.

2 . Stage

Stretch each ball of dough into a thick tortilla.

3 . Stage

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla until browned and lightly puffed, about 1 minute per side.

4 . Stage

Layer refried beans, avocado, and queso fresco onto warm tortillas, then drizzle crema over top. Fold tortillas in half to eat.
