1. 1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes -
2. 1 tbsp. olive oil -
3. 1 tsp. dried oregano -
4. Pinch red pepper flakes -
5. 1 large onion, sliced into half moons -
6. 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced -
7. 1 lb. Italian sausage -
8. Kosher salt -
9. Freshly ground black pepper -
10. 1 tbsp. basil, thinly sliced -
11. 6 hoagie rolls, toasted -

How to cook deliciously - Slow-Cooker Sausage & Peppers

1. Stage

Combine crushed tomatoes, oregano, red pepper flakes and olive oil in the bowl of a slow cooker. Stir in onion, bell peppers and Italian sausage. Season with salt and pepper. Cook on low 6 hours.

2. Stage

Stir basil into the cooked sausage and peppers. Serve warm on toasted hoagie rolls.
