1. 12 cups shredded cabbage (1 medium head) -
2. 1 green pepper, chopped -
3. 1 large sweet onion, chopped -
4. 2 carrots, shredded -
5. Dressing -
6. 1 cup sugar -
7. 1 cup white vinegar -
8. 3/4 cup canola oil -
9. 1 teaspoon salt -
10. 1 teaspoon celery seed -
11. 1 teaspoon ground mustard -

How to cook deliciously - Southern Vinegar Slaw

1. Stage

In a large bowl, combine the first 4 ingredients. In a small saucepan, combine dressing ingredients; bring to a boil. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over cabbage mixture; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, 2-3 hours. Stir well before serving. Serve with a slotted spoon.
