Ingredients for - Swiss Steak Quick and Easy

1. Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
2. Cube steaks, pounded thin and cut into bite-sized pieces - 2 pounds
3. All-purpose flour - 1 ½ tablespoons
4. Stewed tomatoes - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
5. Mushrooms, sliced - 1 pound
6. Onion, chopped - 1 medium
7. Brown gravy mix - 1 (1.2 ounce) package
8. Salt and pepper to taste - 1 (1.2 ounce) package
9. Egg noodles - 1 (12 ounce) package

How to cook deliciously - Swiss Steak Quick and Easy

1. Stage

Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.

2. Stage

Dredge steak strips in flour; shake off excess.

3. Stage

Working in batches, fry steak in hot oil until browned. Remove to a warm platter.

Return browned steak to the Dutch oven. Stir in stewed tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, gravy mix, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.

About 20 minutes before steak is finished, fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add egg noodles to boiling water and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes; drain.

Serve Swiss Steak over noodles.
