1. White sugar - 1 cup
2. Unsalted butter, melted - ½ cup
3. Egg - 1 large
4. All-purpose flour - 1 cup
5. Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
6. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
7. Peeled, cored, and diced tart apples (such as Granny Smith) - 1 cup
8. Chopped walnuts - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Apple Bars

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.

2. Stage

Stir sugar, melted butter, and egg together in a large bowl. Mix in flour, cinnamon, and baking soda, then stir in apple and walnuts. Spread batter into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven until a small knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into nine bars.
