3. 1 cup fresh cranberries -
4. 1/2 cup wheat berries -
5. 1/2 cup quinoa, rinsed -
6. 1/2 cup oat bran -
7. 1/2 cup medium pearl barley -
8. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts -
9. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar -
10. 1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon -
11. 6 cups water -
12. Optional toppings: Milk, sliced apples, dried cranberries and chopped walnuts -

1. Stage

In a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 11 ingredients. Cook, covered, on low until grains are tender, 4-5 hours. Serve with toppings as desired.
