Ingredients for - Aunt Sally's Cocoa Drops

1. Shortening - ½ cup
2. All-purpose flour - 1 ¾ cups
3. White sugar - 1 cup
4. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
5. Egg - 1
6. Salt - ½ teaspoon
7. Buttermilk - ¾ cup
8. Unsweetened cocoa powder - ½ cup
9. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
10. Chopped walnuts - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Aunt Sally's Cocoa Drops

1. Stage

Mix thoroughly sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and stir in. Add nuts.

2. Stage

Chill dough for 1 hour.

3. Stage

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet.

4. Stage

Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool. Frost with chocolate or white icing. Enjoy!
