1. 4 slices bacon, chopped into 1" pieces -
2. 1/2 red onion, chopped -
3. 1 lb. ground beef -
4. Kosher salt -
5. Freshly ground black pepper -
6. 1 c. barbecue sauce -
7. 1 bag tortilla chips -
8. 3 c. shredded cheddar -
9. 1/4 c. Sliced green onions -

How to cook deliciously - BBQ Nachos

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350°.

2. Stage

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain bacon pieces on paper towels, reserving about 2 tablespoons bacon fat in pan. Add onion and sauté until soft, then stir in ground beef, breaking the meat up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring often, until the beef is cooked through. Add barbecue sauce to the pan and bring mixture to a simmer, then turn off heat.

3. Stage

Spread the chips out onto a large baking sheet, pour the BBQ beef mixture on top, then sprinkle evenly with cheese. Bake until the cheese is melted and everything is warmed through, 8 to 10 minutes. Garnish nachos with green onions and serve warm.
