1. Sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed - 2 ½ pounds
2. Butter-flavored cooking spray - 2 ½ pounds
3. Ground cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
4. Salt - 1 teaspoon
5. Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
6. Ground nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
7. Ground allspice - ½ teaspoon
8. Pure maple syrup - ¼ cup
9. Salted butter, melted - 3 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Candied Sweet Potatoes with Maple Syrup

1. Stage

Bring a pot of water to a boil; add sweet potatoes. Continue to boil until potatoes are easily pierced with a knife, 15 to 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.

Mix cinnamon, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice together in a small bowl. Mix maple syrup and melted butter together in another small bowl.

Drain potatoes and transfer to a bowl. Mash thoroughly. Add spice mix and stir until well blended. Transfer potatoes to the prepared baking pan. Drizzle maple syrup mixture over top.
