1. French green lentils, rinsed and drained - ½ pound
2. Water - 2 cups
3. Dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed - 1 (15 ounce) can
4. Corn, drained - 1 (14 ounce) can
5. Chopped fresh parsley, or to taste - ¼ cup
6. Olive oil - ⅓ cup
7. Balsamic vinaigrette - ⅓ cup
8. White sugar - 1 tablespoon
9. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 tablespoon

How to cook deliciously - Cheap and Easy Lentil Salad

1. Stage

Combine lentils and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook lentils at a boil until tender, about 20 minutes; drain.

Mix kidney beans, corn, and parsley in a bowl; add lentils and gently stir.

Whisk olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette, sugar, salt, and black pepper together in a separate bowl; drizzle over lentil mixture and gently stir.
