1. Beef chuck roast, cut into 1/2-inch thick strips 2 pounds

4. Sliced mushrooms 8 ounces
5. Onion, sliced or diced ½ medium
6. Butter 1 tablespoon
7. Garlic, minced 2 cloves
8. All-purpose flour 1 ½ tablespoons
9. White wine ½ cup
10. Beef broth, divided 2 cups
11. Creme fraiche ¾ cup
12. Fresh chopped chives 1 tablespoon
