Ingredients for - Chocolate Malt Bars

1. Unsweetened chocolate, chopped - 1 (1 ounce) square
2. Shortening - ½ cup
3. White sugar - ¾ cup
4. Eggs - 2
5. Vanilla extract - ½ teaspoon
6. All-purpose flour - 1 cup
7. Chocolate malt powder - ½ cup
8. Baking powder - ½ teaspoon
9. Salt - ½ teaspoon
10. Butter - 2 tablespoons
11. Chocolate malt powder - ¼ cup
12. Salt - 1 pinch
13. Confectioners' sugar - 1 cup
14. Heavy cream - 1 ½ tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Chocolate Malt Bars

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan. In a bowl over a pan of simmering water, or in the microwave, melt the unsweetened chocolate, stirring occasionally until smooth. Set aside to cool.

In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time then stir in the vanilla.
