How to cook deliciously - Cookie Dough Truffles

1. Stage

In a large bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the all-purpose flour alternately with the sweetened condensed milk, beating well after each addition. Switch to a rubber spatula or wooden spoon to stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Editor’s Tip: To alternate adding the flour and the milk, beat in half the flour, beat in all the milk, then beat in the remaining flour.

2. Stage

Shape the cookie dough into 1-inch balls. Place the balls on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Loosely cover the cookie dough balls with storage wrap and refrigerate until they’re firm, one to two hours.

3. Stage

In a microwave, melt the chocolate candy coating according to the package’s directions. Stir until smooth. Dip the balls in the coating until they’re completely covered. Allow the excess to drip off, then place the truffles on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Editor’s Tip: Use a fork to dip the balls into the chocolate.

4. Stage

Refrigerate the truffles until the chocolate coating is firm, about 15 minutes. If desired, remelt the remaining candy coating and drizzle it over the candies for an extra decoration. Store the truffles in the refrigerator.
