1. 1 package (16 ounces) bow tie pasta -
4. 4 large garlic cloves, minced -
6. 1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh basil -
7. 1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh oregano -
How to cook deliciously - Cream Sauce for Pasta
1. Stage
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, warm the olive oil over medium-low heat and saute the onion until tender. Add the garlic and cook an additional minute until aromatic. Pour in the broth and sprinkle in basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring it to a boil and cook for eight minutes until reduced by half. Stir in the cream.
2. Stage
Cook the cream sauce for 8 to 10 minutes more, until sauce is reduced to about 1-1/4 cups. Toss with the pasta and serve. Editor's Tip: Save a little pasta cooking water to add to the sauce at the end if it needs thinning.
