Ingredients for - Curtido (Salvadoran Pickled Slaw)

1. Cabbage, finely shredded 1 head
2. White onion, halved and sliced 1/4-inch thick 1
3. Carrot, grated 1 large
4. Red bird's eye chile peppers, grated 4
5. Salt, or to taste 1 ½ tablespoons
6. Boiling water 3 cups
7. Vinegar ½ cup
8. Oregano 1 tablespoon

How to cook deliciously - Curtido (Salvadoran Pickled Slaw)

1 . Stage

Mix cabbage, onion, carrot, and chile peppers together in a large bowl. Sprinkle salt evenly on top. Cover with boiling water. Cool to room temperature, about 1 hour.

2 . Stage

Pour vinegar over cabbage mixture; add oregano. Mix together carefully.

3 . Stage

Cover and refrigerate until flavors combine, 8 hours to overnight.
