1. Apples, peeled 3 medium
2. Cornstarch 1 ½ teaspoons
3. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
4. Lemon zest ½ teaspoon
5. Water ¼ cup
6. Ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon
7. All-purpose flour ¾ cup
8. Brown sugar ¾ cup
9. Cold unsalted butter 7 tablespoons

1 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Core the apples. Slice 2 apples and dice 1 apple. Scatter over an 8-inch pie dish.

Mix cornstarch, lemon juice, and lemon zest into water. Keep stirring the mixture while pouring over the apples. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
