Ingredients for - Elk Chili

1. Ground elk meat - 1 ½ pounds
2. Yellow onions, diced - 2 large
3. Tomato sauce - 2 (10 ounce) cans
4. Italian-style stewed tomatoes - 1 (14.5 ounce) can
5. Kidney beans, drained - 1 (15 ounce) can
6. Diced green chiles (Optional) - 1 (4 ounce) can
7. Chili powder - 1 ½ tablespoons
8. Ground cumin - 1 ½ teaspoons
9. Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
10. Salt - 1 teaspoon
11. Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
12. Brown sugar - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Elk Chili

1. Stage

In a large deep skillet over medium heat, cook the ground elk with the onion until evenly browned. Drain off excess grease.

2. Stage

Pour the tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, kidney beans and green chilies into the skillet with the meat, and stir to blend. Season with chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, oregano and brown sugar. Cover, and simmer over low heat for at least one hour.
