3. Worcestershire sauce - 2 teaspoons
4. Kosher salt - 1 teaspoon
5. Freshly ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
6. Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
7. Onion Powder - ½ teaspoon
8. Garlic powder - ¼ teaspoon
9. Pinch dried thyme - ¼ teaspoon
10. Cayenne pepper to taste - ¼ teaspoon
11. Plain bread crumbs - ¼ cup
12. Chopped cooked bacon - ⅔ cup
13. Ground chuck beef (85% lean) - 1 pound

1. Stage

Whisk egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl. Add breadcrumbs and chopped cooked bacon. Crumble in the ground beef. Mix with your fingers until bacon and breadcrumbs are distributed evenly.
