2. 1 c. self-rising flour (if unavailable, see above for recipe) -
3. 1 c. self-rising cornmeal (if unavailable, see above for recipe) -
4. 1/2 c. granulated sugar -
5. 10 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and divided -
6. 1 large egg -
7. 3/4 c. milk or buttermilk -
8. 1/4 c. maple syrup -
9. 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract -
10. 1/4 c. honey -

How to cook deliciously - Honey Butter Cornbread Muffins

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray.

2. Stage

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, and sugar.

3. Stage

In another medium bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup melted butter, egg, maple syrup, and milk. Pour the combined wet ingredients into the dry, and mix until fully incorporated.

4. Stage

Divide batter evenly among prepared muffin tins (about ½ cup batter per well). Bake 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and the tops are golden.

While the muffins bake, combine the remaining 2 tbsp. melted butter and honey, whisking until combined.

Once removed from the oven, brush muffins with honey butter and serve.
