1. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Beef chuck roast, trimmed - 1 (4 pound)
3. Salt - 1 teaspoon
4. Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
5. Onion, chopped - 1 large
6. Diced green chile pepper - 1 ¼ cups
7. Hot sauce - 1 (5 ounce) bottle
8. Taco seasoning - ¼ cup
9. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
10. Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon
11. Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Mexican Pot Roast

1. Stage

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season beef chuck roast with salt and pepper. Cook roast in hot oil until browned entirely, 2 to 3 minutes per side; transfer browned roast to a slow cooker.
