Ingredients for - Mulligatawny Soup III

1. Butter - ¼ cup
2. Sliced onion - ¼ cup
3. Sliced carrots - ¼ cup
4. Chopped celery - ¼ cup
5. Chopped green bell pepper - ¼ cup
6. Apple - peeled, cored and sliced - 1
7. Chopped chicken breast meat - 1 cup
8. All-purpose flour - ¼ cup
9. Curry powder - 1 teaspoon
10. Chopped fresh mace - ¼ teaspoon
11. Whole cloves - 4
12. Chopped fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon
13. Stewed tomatoes - 1 cup
14. Salt and pepper to taste - 1 cup
15. Cooked white rice - 1 cup
16. Beef stock - 5 cups

How to cook deliciously - Mulligatawny Soup III

1. Stage

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add onion, carrot, celery, pepper, apple, and chicken. Cook until browned.

2. Stage

Stir in flour, curry powder, mace, cloves, parsley, and tomatoes. Cover, and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

3. Stage

Take chicken out, set aside, and strain vegetables from broth. Return chicken to pot.

4. Stage

Using a food mill, puree vegetables. Return to soup. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

5. Stage

Add rice and boiling white stock. Serve.
