Ingredients for - Nana's 7-Layer Salad

1. Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 2 cups
2. Mayonnaise - 1 ¼ cups
3. Torn iceberg lettuce - 4 cups
4. Roma (plum) tomatoes, or more to taste, chopped - 2 large
5. Sliced black olives, drained - 1 (6 ounce) can
6. Frozen peas, thawed - 1 (10 ounce) package
7. Sliced water chestnuts, drained - 1 (4 ounce) can
8. Cooked crumbled bacon - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Nana's 7-Layer Salad

1. Stage

Mix Cheddar cheese and mayonnaise together in a small bowl.

2. Stage

Pat lettuce into an even layer in the bottom of a large glass serving bowl. Layer tomatoes, black olives, peas, and water chestnuts, respectively, into the bowl. Spread Cheddar cheese mixture over the water chestnuts layer; top with bacon.

3. Stage

Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until salad is chilled, at least 30 minutes.
