1. Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed - 2 pounds
2. Swede (rutabaga), peeled and cubed - 2 pounds
3. Butter, softened - ¼ cup
4. Mustard powder - 1 teaspoon
5. Scallions, finely chopped - 1 bunch
6. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 bunch

How to cook deliciously - Neeps and Tatties

1. Stage

Place potatoes and swede in a large pot; cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.

2. Stage

Mash butter and mustard powder into potatoes and swede until well incorporated. Stir in scallions, salt, and pepper.
