Ingredients for - Portuguese Favas

1. Olive oil - 5 tablespoons
2. Onions, chopped - 3 large
3. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
4. Red pepper flakes - 2 tablespoons
5. Tomato sauce - ¼ cup
6. Hot water - 2 cups
7. Chopped fresh parsley - 3 tablespoons
8. Salt to taste - 3 tablespoons
9. Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
10. Paprika - 2 teaspoons
11. Fava beans - 2 (19 ounce) cans

How to cook deliciously - Portuguese Favas

1. Stage

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until golden brown. Stir in red pepper flakes, tomato sauce, hot water, parsley, salt, pepper and paprika. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

2. Stage

Gently stir in fava beans. Remove from heat and let stand for several minutes to allow flavors to meld.
