Ingredients for - Portuguese Favas

1. Olive oil 5 tablespoons
2. Onions, chopped 3 large
3. Garlic, minced 2 cloves
4. Red pepper flakes 2 tablespoons
5. Tomato sauce ¼ cup
6. Hot water 2 cups
7. Chopped fresh parsley 3 tablespoons
8. Salt to taste 3 tablespoons
9. Black pepper ½ teaspoon
10. Paprika 2 teaspoons
11. Fava beans 2 (19 ounce) cans

How to cook deliciously - Portuguese Favas

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until golden brown. Stir in red pepper flakes, tomato sauce, hot water, parsley, salt, pepper and paprika. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

2 . Stage

Gently stir in fava beans. Remove from heat and let stand for several minutes to allow flavors to meld.
